uniting the voices of Democratic Women in Georgia, AND BEYOND.

The Georgia Federation of Democratic Women (GFDW) is the official Georgia chapter of the National Federation of Democratic Women (NFDW).  Founded in 1971, The NFDW is the Democratic National Committee's official women's organization and receives one seat on the Democratic National Committee's Executive Committee and three seats on the DNC.  Likewise, the GFDW holds one seat on the Democratic Party of Georgia's Executive Committee.

Many of Georgia's counties and/or congressional districts have chapters under the GFDW, all of which are dedicated to promoting the Democratic Party and encouraging greater participation of women in the political process.

Women Holding Hands

We believe in the enduring power of women and work to ensure that our rights and privileges are protected, and that our voices are never silenced.  We strive to provide an inclusive and supportive environment for all women regardless of race, religion, or social background. Through our many events, activities, and initiatives, we empower women to be active and engaged in advancing the issues that matter most.
